Overview

It was my first remote position working from Chile before moving to the Bay Area in CA. Also, I was starting to switch careers from product designer to frontend developer. These were my primary responsibilities and learnings while I worked in the Self-Service team at Groupon.

  • Implemented responsive UI for web, mobile, and tablet web. This challenge encouraged me to tackle more responsibilities and understand more about designing across devices.
  • Implemented the design of this project to HTML and CSS files by following the design mock-ups and branding guidelines. Also, I coordinated and participated in creating temporary style solutions while the current guidelines version was updated.
  • Working with engineers, product managers, designers, and interns during the whole process of this project. It helped me develop collaborative skills, such as sharing my perspective and improving my communication skills.
  • As a learning, this project was an excellent opportunity to learn from other professionals. Understand more about users and the business. I improved my productivity by practicing asynchronous communication while working remotely from abroad.
